Each one is lovingly handmade in our family pottery in the Scottish Borders using a real mushroom cap pressed into the clay, leaving its extraordinary gill pattern permanently captured in the porcelain. The result is something that looks almost too detailed to be real. Every single gill, every fine line radiating outward from the centre, every natural imperfection of the cap preserved exactly as it was in the moment it was pressed.

The deep, rich earthy tones of the glaze complement the natural print in a way that makes each dish feel like it was pulled straight from the forest floor and made into something you can keep forever. The reverse, glimpsed in the photo, shows a beautiful contrasting golden glaze that makes this piece as interesting from every angle as it is from above.
