Each one is lovingly handmade in our family pottery in the Scottish Borders using real lavender grown in Alice’s own back garden, pressed into the clay alongside small leaves to leave their delicate stems, florets, and vein patterns permanently captured in the porcelain. The result is a dish that carries a little piece of Alice’s garden in every single one.

The detail is extraordinary. The lavender stems are fine and true to life, the purple of the florets preserved in the glaze in a way that makes the whole piece feel like a pressed botanical illustration that you can actually hold in your hands. Speckled, earthy, and edged in a deep warm brown that grounds the whole composition, this is a dish that feels completely of the natural world.

No two are ever the same because no two cuttings from the garden are ever the same. Every dish is its own original.
