There’s nothing quite like the crackle of a real fire on a cold winter’s evening, and our foraged firelighters make lighting one feel like a little ritual rather than a chore.

Each firelighter is made by hand using pine cones we gather ourselves in the borderlands of Cumberland and Roxburghshire, set in wax and finished with dried botanicals. Every bag holds an assorted mix, which may include star anise, ginger, cinnamon sticks and dried lemon, so no two bags are quite the same.

They come in a handy resealable bag, so you can keep the rest fresh, dry and ready by the fireside until you need them.

Made from What Would Otherwise Go to Waste

These are our little low-waste treasures. We make them from the leftover wax from our candle making, so nothing goes to waste. Because the wax comes from different batches, each firelighter may carry a faint hint of a different scent, which makes every bag a small surprise.
